1. The service

Free-QR.co.uk

Free-QR.co.uk provides hosted dynamic QR codes. When someone scans your QR, we redirect them to the destination you configure (or show appropriate content for non-URL QR types). We also provide styling tools, downloads, analytics, and account management features described on our pricing page and features page.

2. Accounts & eligibility

  • You must provide accurate information and keep your login credentials secure.
  • You may register with email/password or, where enabled, Google or Apple sign-in.
  • You are responsible for all activity under your account.
  • One person or organisation must not create multiple free accounts to circumvent plan limits. We may use technical signals (IP, device fingerprint, email normalisation) to enforce fair use.
  • You must be at least 16 years old to use the service.

3. Free, Pro & Pro+ plans

Free plan

  • Includes 1 live QR code at no charge, subject to these terms.
  • Basic colour styling; destination is fixed after creation and cannot be changed on Free.
  • Limited analytics retention (see our pricing page for current limits).
  • Scans may show Free-QR.co.uk branding on the redirect page.
  • We may adjust Free plan limits or features with reasonable notice.

Pro plan

  • Up to 10 live QR codes with editable destinations, logo upload, and rounded styles.
  • Extended scan analytics (see pricing page).
  • Scans may still show Free-QR.co.uk branding on the redirect page unless you upgrade to Pro+.
  • Billed monthly or annually via Stripe from £3/month (or equivalent in your currency).
  • Pro features require an active paid subscription unless otherwise stated.

Pro+ plan

  • Unlimited live QR codes, full styling (presets, gradients, frames), 90-day analytics, CSV export, custom domain, bulk CSV import, and scan webhooks where offered.
  • No Free-QR.co.uk “Powered by” splash on scan — your brand only.
  • Billed monthly or annually via Stripe from £5/month (or equivalent in your currency).

Designing a paid-style QR on the homepage does not activate Pro or Pro+ features until you complete checkout. Downloads require a registered account; guests must sign up before downloading QR images.

4. Your QR content

You retain ownership of the destinations and materials you link to. You grant us a limited licence to host, process, display, and redirect traffic for your QR codes solely to operate the service.

You are solely responsible for the legality and accuracy of your destinations and for informing end users where required (e.g. privacy notices for your own sites).

5. Acceptable use

You must not use Free-QR.co.uk to:

  • Distribute malware, phishing pages, scams, or illegal content.
  • Redirect to private network addresses, localhost, or other blocked destinations.
  • Harass, defame, or infringe the rights of others.
  • Send spam or unsolicited messages via SMS, email, or other QR payload types.
  • Circumvent plan limits, abuse free tiers, or attack our infrastructure.
  • Violate applicable laws or third-party terms.

We may scan destinations for known threats (e.g. Google Safe Browsing where configured), review abuse reports, suspend QR codes, or terminate accounts that violate these rules without refund where permitted by law.

6. Billing & cancellation

  • Pro subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled in your billing portal or account.
  • Prices are shown before checkout; taxes may apply depending on your location.
  • You may cancel anytime; access continues until the end of the current paid period.
  • We do not guarantee refunds except where required by consumer law. Contact support for billing disputes.
  • If payment fails, Pro features may be suspended until the subscription is brought current.

7. Availability & changes

We aim for reliable uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. Check system status for current health. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features with reasonable notice where practicable.

Scheduled maintenance, third-party outages (Stripe, hosting, DNS), and events outside our reasonable control may affect availability.

8. Intellectual property

The Free-QR.co.uk website, software, branding, and documentation are owned by us or our licensors. You may not copy, reverse engineer, or resell the service except as expressly permitted. QR images you generate for your own use are yours to print and distribute.

9. Disclaimer & liability

The service is provided "as is" to the fullest extent permitted by law. We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of profits, data, or business arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of (a) amounts you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) £50, except where liability cannot be limited by law (including death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud).

Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer.

10. Suspension & termination

  • You may delete your account at any time from Account Settings.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms or pose a security risk.
  • On termination, your right to use the service ends. QR codes may stop redirecting after a reasonable wind-down period.
  • Provisions that by nature should survive (liability limits, governing law, your content responsibilities) will survive termination.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Courts in England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your country give you the right to bring proceedings in your home jurisdiction.
